Cal here -  Working on sorting through about 200 of Darwyn's old comicbooks. They'll be going up for sale at some point to benefit The Hero Initiative. No date set. Just getting started.

A lot of fun and inspiration sprang from these pages!

Parker updates

Cal here. Apologies for the lack of updates on here. I fall into the category of "too lazy to update anything but facebook" people and am working hard to change that!

IDW announced that they will be re-issuing the Martini Edition collecting the first two Parker adaptations along with extra material and the short Parker story "The Seventh". The new edition arrives in stores end of April. More info can be found here.

IDW will also be releasing the second volume in the Martini Editions collecting The Score and Slayground as well as unseen material in a matching slipcased hardcover titled The Martini Edition: Last Call.

and they recently announced a compendium collecting all four into one volume called "Parker Integral" due out this summer. 600 pages for 45 Euros. The cover art and some spreads are below:

DC released "The Art of Darwyn Cooke" collecting stories and artwork dating back to 1985's TALENT SHOWCASE #19, and stories from BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS, LEGION WORLDS, JSA ALL STARS, JONAH HEX and more, plus dozens of covers!

This new softcover edition adds over twenty covers not collected in the GRAPHIC INK: THE DC COMICS ART OF DARWYN COOKE hardcover.

Harley Quinn #38 has a Darwyn cover

Amanda Conner inked this cover drawn by Darwyn for Harley Quinn issue #38. It arrives in your local comic book stores on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Final orders are due on Monday Jan. 29th so contact your local shop if you want them to save you a copy!

Written by Frank Tieri and illustrated by Mirka Andolfo, there is also a cover by Frank Cho available.

DC describes the story as "ANGRY BIRD" part two! The Penguin didn't come to Brooklyn alone this time...he's put out an open invitation for some of Gotham City's worst to join him in his new criminal empire, as long as they're willing to hold off Harley Quinn! And when we say "worst," we mean worst! Film Freak? Egghead? Condiment King?! Nateman's Hot Dogs is gonna have a lot to say about that...

signed New Frontier softcover giveaway

hi folks, Cal here from Strange Adventures in Halifax.

 We recently got in a collection of books that included a set of New Frontier softcovers signed by Darwyn.

 In my opinion, a signature adds no value but it is a cool thing to have, so we're giving the set away in a random draw.
