  1. Hello Darwyn,
I am a huge Watchmen fan, I've read the graphic novel 3+ times. I know it sounds stupid but throughout my readings of it, I've never paid much attention to the Minutemen. To be precise, I didn't pay attention to the Under the hood by Hollis part. So this summer, I was at a comic book store and I came across "Before Watchmen". I am not a big DC reader and I wasn't aware that they were making new series. The first one I saw was the Minutemen. I didn't buy it because I thought it would have been average since I found the characters a bit boring at the time. HUGE MISTAKE. I kept reading online that the comic was great and I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did, I am collecting the whole Before Watchmen series. To be honest, the Minutemen one is by far the BEST ONE. The story is just stellar and the artwork is absolutely amazing. I really get sucked into the comic. I loved the story so much that the Minutemen have become one of my favourite superhero team. You really know how to make things interesting and never disappoint. It's hard for me to describe how much I love the comic, it made me see the Minutemen on a whole new way. I especially like the relationship Hollis has with Silhouette and Moth Man. Loved your work on Silk Spectre. Cannot wait for Minutemen #6!

  3. Hi. I don't know how often you check this, but I have a question for a project I'm working on. I'm a big fan of New Frontier, and I'm writing a revised history of the DCU inspired by it, with changes to add diversity to the characters. For example, Anya Savenlovich becomes the Green Lantern in 1959, which proves problematic during the Cold War.
I like the look of Cobalt and would like to include a version of her, possibly Mexican American, as she's probably from Roswell.
What were you planning for her powers and story before you took her out of the book? I won't be having a living dinosaur island, but I'm planning on having Brainiac's first attack be the big event of the 1950s.
